Step into a slower rhythm of the seasons with Lizzy Maskey of Pippin and Gile for a nourishing weekend of basketry and foraging. Rooted in traditional craft and deep nature connection, this course invites you to gather and weave with the landscape—learning not just how to make a basket, but how to build a relationship with the plants that make it possible.
Guided by Lizzy’s gentle and knowledgeable teaching style, you’ll explore the hedgerows and wild spaces in search of natural materials—bramble, willow, dogwood, and more—while learning sustainable harvesting techniques and the stories each plant carries. Around the fire and under the trees, you’ll be guided through the process of creating your own beautiful, functional basket using age-old methods. Alongside the making, you’ll dive into foraging for wild edibles and materials, weaving together practical skills, creativity, and seasonal wisdom. This course is for anyone yearning to reconnect with craft, land, and a slower way of being.
